Providing evaluations and rankings of institutions of higher education throughout the world in accordance with set criteria, Eduroute evaluated Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) as the top university in TRNC. Based on the 2010 ranking methods by Eduroute, EMU was evaluated as the top university throughout Cyprus, 47th university throughout the region and 158th university throughout the world.

Eduroute obtains information and resources about institutes of higher education and evaluates them according to region, country and the world. Eduroute analyses the official webpages of the universities, evaluates them annually and provides web based rankings among universities. Ranking methods of Eduroute are based on the following: Research activities and publications of the university (20%), online academic publications of the university (10%), quality of the university webpages (30%) and quality and content of the links on the university’s webpage (40%). Rankings by Eduroute reflect the quality of the Eastern Mediterranean University as an institute of higher education.
